Games to Play at Tupperware Parties

Tupperware parties have been organized quite frequently since the 1940s. These parties were devised by inventor Earl Tupper, who modeled them after home demonstrations done by the Stanley company. Tupperware parties consist of a consultant who runs the party, a hostess who allows use of her home and invites the guests, and of course the attendees. There are lots of games to play at Tupperware parties that add an element of fun. Often winners of these games are awarded Tupperware as prizes.

One fun game that is easy to play is called Pass the Package. If you can wrap a present, you can set up this easy game. Simply wrap the prize in multiple layers of decorative paper then pass it around the room. Each guest unwraps a layer, until all the layers have been unwrapped. The person who unwraps the final layer wins the prize. Another easy game is a Tupperware theme word search. The winner can be the person who finishes the word search first. You can create an easy word search using any word processing program and a little creativity.

Another popular party game is called Right Left. During this game the hostess or consultant tells a story that features the words right and left. When the word right is spoken, guests holding a package pass it to the right. When the word left is spoken, guests holding a package pass it to the left. When the story is over the people holding the passed packages win what is inside. In addition to prizes you may want to give each attendee a small gift as a thank you for their participation. This could be something like a miniature Tupperware bowl, a pen with the name and number of the consultant or a key chain for example.

There are many other games to play at Tupperware parties. You will find they resemble baby and bridal shower games, except with a Tupperware twist. In addition to games there should be refreshments, preferably served from Tupperware so guests can get an up close look. Another integral part of any Tupperware party is product demonstration. Often people don't realize the features and fine quality of Tupperware merchandise until they see it up close and handle it. For this reason and others Tupperware parties have been all the rage for over 50 years and are still going strong!
